We choose to offer steel over aluminum products for a variety of reasons. Aluminum, while flexible and lightweight, cannot stand up to the Minnesota climate. It damages, bends, and rusts too easily as a lightweight material.
Steel, on the other hand, is extremely durable, and secure, and falls under our 15-year material warranty. With our galvanized steel especially, it is more resistant to rust and corrosion than aluminum. Steel is also more customizable than aluminum, and many of our customers value this aspect in their fences. While steel may have a higher initial cost, it is a better investment in the long run.
We offer vinyl privacy fences to our customers instead of cedar. Vinyl is simply better for many reasons. It has higher longevity, it’s low maintenance, there are no toxic chemicals needed for preservation or staining, and it stands up to the environment, especially fire. Vinyl is a better long-term investment than wood which can warp, become damaged, rot, mold, or burn.
Our final innovative service is using driven technologies to install fence posts rather than the traditional cement-filled holes. This process has all of the advantages of a cement installation plus some. Driven cement posts, while untraditional, give a cleaner installation and aesthetic.
They are waterproof, durable, and help to avoid post-heaving years after installation. Driven posts also have a stronger base than those set into cement and cut down on installation time and labor costs. There are no disadvantages to using a driven-post technique.
